After Midnight (2019) + The Battery (2012)

The first of THREE Halloween Double-Feature specials this week, Shea & Dave dive into the indie film world for two under appreciated classics, After Midnight & The Battery. We talk everything from the incredible films created from tiny budgets, the depth of writing infusing every day themes of love, loss, friendship, & heartache into films that also include battles against very real existential threats alongside the human issues at play which could ultimately prove the downfall. Jeremy Gardner, Christian Stella, and the rest of the crews involved in these films deserve absolute commendation for creating two of the more thought provoking films in the horror genre to have come out in the last decade, & it was a pleasure to discuss them over a few beers. No Gorilla Farts though. No need for tasting going blind.
