The Babadook (2014)
If it's in a word, or if it's in a look, you can't get rid of the Babadook... nor can you get rid of our episode this week, as Shea & Dave discuss the 2014 Jennifer Kent horror film 'The Babadook'
An incredible film that is about so much more than simply a haunting, we discuss the themes that make the monster, the brilliant performances, the wonderful set design, the smart directing & writing, & the wildly inventive creature design. We also talk about the unique journey of Jennifer Kent to the career of directing. For a low budget Aussie film, this one took the world by storm in it's incredibly originality and it was a privilege to talk about it.
BABADOOOOOOOOK & CHILL.
** NOTE ON THE EPISODE - Technical issues prevented Dave from adding the usual SPOILER ALERT at the beginning, as well as the trailer and other usual sounds. It is just the audio from our day of recording the episode (which is still quality, of course). I will update the posting when I can figure out that crap.
